    9. Approximate Total Video Memory: don't know
    10. Game Detail: sims 2
    11. Nature of problem: I've had this game for probably a year, and I've had no problems on this computer w/ it. For some reason, my dad had us uninstall all our games. Then he said I could have one on it, so I reinstalled the sims 2. Now, when I play it the graphics are all messed up. It installed fine, runs fine, just like normal, but everything is white, luckily I can just make out the exit button to get off the game.
I have no idea what's going on.

Ive tried reinstalling it also. Numerous times.

Urr ... I think it is time to go and set fire to Dad ... no seriously ... maybe just poke him with something ticklish, like an albatross feather.

This could be anything, to be honest. I sounds like the graphics card is acting up. You need first to know why Dad wanted all the games off the machine. Did he reinstall Windows, for example. You need to know (and then let us know) what has changed ... though I suspect once you know, you'll be fixing the problem yourself.

There's never really a reason for his spontaneous decisions to erase every ounce of fun off of our laptop.
He thinks it slows the computer,
and my brother just got done downloading this extremely dumb, worthless program onto the computer,
    and my dad got angry,
so he uninstalled all our games.
    funny stuff..

so you said it may be the graphics card acting up?
our other games work fine on here,
    so its just sims
    =(
    my favorite game.
    hah.

What else did your Dad do to the computer while he was removing your games?

Did he uninstall them, or did he just delete files, willy-nilly. Like I said light a firework under him and get his butt here to answer questions. If the game worked before then it should work agains. The fact that it doesn't means that something has changed. It might be that the graphics card has failed (don't ignore this. part of my computer has broke and I am still using it by working around the busted bit ... the graphics card may be too broke to play The Sims 2 but not broke enough for other stuff ... OK this sin't likely ... but your Dad has more answers. Ask him for them ... sweetly and prettily, with pleases and can-I-get-you-anything?s ... you'll achiev lots and lots by devotion to a task and with bribery and flattery to those who have the answers. When a thing gets busted always blame the last dozo who touched it ....
