Antique Camera/Journalism Career Track Hello! One of my sims has been very successful in the journalism career track. She got the antique camera that is one of the career rewards. My problem is that I thought that I should be able to hang the picture on the wall or display it somewhere in the house but the only option that comes up after my sim takes the picture is ...'sell the picture'. *What I have tried is choosing 'sell the picture' and then as soon as the picture is in the sims hand, changing to buy mode and taking the picture from the sims hand and putting it on the wall. Then, I will choose play and quickily choose inventory for that sim. I then palce the picture in the sims inventory. Later, I take the picture out of the sims inventory and display it in the house but this doesnt work because the sim just completes the 'sell the picture' command and the picture is sold. Anyone else have this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Ah, I remember puzzling over the antique camera. What you have to do, as I learned after posting a question here, is zoom in close enough to see the piece of film sticking out one side of the camera. If you're not sure about this, look closely at the camera before you take a picture, and then again afterwards. You should be able to see the film sticking out. Then, in buy mode, you can use the hand to grab it and put it anywhere around the house, either on the wall or on a table. It's a very nice picture with a frame. I think you can choose landscape or portrait style, too. (Sorry that I'm not sure...it's been awhile since I played with those pictures.)
Yup, that's right. Just zoom in and pick up the picture while in buy mode then place it on a wall or table just like any other decoration. I didn't realise they recycle the same camera, that they use for the artist career, with the journalism career. How boring. :( Cass.
Oh cool thanks guys! I've actually been wondering this myself but I couldn't be bothered to post something here because I thought it was a problem that I could live with. Next time I play on my game, I'll most definitely try that. :classic:
