    Anyone use Fight Club yet?

    Hi guys,

I'm still a big huge chicken about mods and hacks, even Pescado's. Plus, my daughter and I share the game and there are mods she has asked me not to use, like risky woohoo.

But one hack I'm especially interested in is Fight Club. I'm not normally bloodthirsty, but as my sims occasionally dust it up I'd like the fights to be more realistic.

Has anyone used it? What do you think?

I have it, SBW. It hasn't caused me any problems. To be honest I'd have to take it out to find out what difference it makes to game play because I have forgotten exactly how it works. I think it just makes it easier (quicker) to get sims to the attack phase. :)

Oh, I thought it also determined the winner based on body points.

How do you use it, exactly? Is it automatic, or is there a box that pops up?

 I used to have it, and I'm like Mirelly, I can't tell a real difference, execpt maybe that they fight easier and the fights last a little longer.

I think the mod makes it so the Sim with more Body skill points wins a fight...but I don't know, I'm not even sure if I have the mod yet...

It changes fighting so that firstly, the fighting you observe actually corresponds to the outcome of the battle (previously, there was no real correlation between who you saw winning and who actually won at the end), and makes Body and combat experience both important factors in determining the winner (previously Body had only a weak effect on determining the outcome unless the mismatch was absolutely massive, like 10-0 massive: Without a difference that large, Body had little or no effect on the outcome).

Thank you for the clarification, Fishman. :)

AAAAAUGGH! I give up. I can't find it. Anyone who posts a link gets instant benes and my gratitude, for what it's worth.

All I can find is information ABOUT it, not a link TO it.

    Ugh.

SBW, I think he had it bundled in his Director's Cut. Go download that, unzip it to it's own file, and see if it's included. Then just drag it into your downloads folder. :)

    Mirelly, thank you!!!

The site won't let me give you benes. Apparently I gave them to you once already.

    So, anyway, thank you!!!

What are benes? The little green squares that represent good reputation?

Yes, I think. You "add to their reputation" and it does something, I'm not sure what. But you have to "spread it around" and apparently I don't do that enough.

I like fight club! It shows outlines of who's fighting so you can see more of the fight. My uber-tough sims still lose once in a while, but that's OK. Maybe they're picking on tough NPC's for all I know. I know this one guy already won a fight he picked with another NPC at the spa ...

    Anyway, it's cool!

The outlines of who's fighting are visible always by default, but watching the fight in default fights does nothing because the outcomes have no correlation, whereas watching The Fight Club, you can clearly keep track of who's winning the fight! And yes, some NPCs are pretty mean. Cows, mascots, and cheerleaders can become quite the hardened warriors, given that they are mortal enemies that do battle on every occasion, and thus accumulate a lot of combat experience.

Tell me about it! I have yet to kick a cheerleader's heinie.

I've noticed that my two vampire sorority chicks who hate each other now spend half the night rolling on the floor like a couple of alley cats, pounding the snot out of each other.

Sometimes Brittney wins, sometimes Heather does. Even Skye, my super shy vamp, often spontaneously slaps Heather, whom she hates.

Don't know if it's due to Fight Club, but it's very amusing. :p
