    best tv video resolution/compression?

anyone who has aded custom videos to their tv mind helping out? i have a full length video here i would love to put ingame to play in my theater. only problem is that past attempts have come up really slowing the game to a crawl. was just curious what you guys came up with for good formats for ingame use.

The only format you can use in the game is avi (as far as I know). Obviously, given the size of the screen in the game, the best way to reduce a movie's file size is to shrink its display size (to something like 120 x 90). The other thing to consider is the demands on your system's RAM. A very large movie will hog memory and thus slow down the other functions of the game. Maybe you could try breaking the movie into smaller chunks ...

well, i tried it in its original format (divx, 320x240 750kbps video, 64kbps 33khz stereo mp3 audio) and the video was very slow and went out of sync with the audio. plus i got thestretched video bug again. ill have to re-encode it anyhow cuz the volume was WAY too low.

I use 320x240s in general, but I use Sorenson codecs to encode.
