Black screen in space mode The game ran fine. I got into space mode and it ran fine there. I played for a couple hours and all the sudden, black screen. I can still see the HUD and hear the sounds but the solar system and galaxy are nothing. I can zoom in to the planet and it loads fine. Please help. Space mode is the best when it actually worked.
No error messages. I wanted to say that it was my video card but all other games work fine. Such as, WOW, Guild Wars, Command and Conquer 3, etc. I did update the video card drivers to the Omega drivers hoping that it would help. Nope. I also tried running it in windowed mode with no help. I don't understand.
Ok. Now i'm really lost. My girl has been playing on a different game/planet. She started from the cell stage as I did. When she finally got to space mode, its working fine for her. I don't understand why it would work fine for her and not me. My first time it messed up i deleted my planet and started a new one from the cell stage. Got all the way to space and it still didn't work for me. Someone please help me. Thanks. Here is an updated dxdiag.txt after installing the omega drivers.
Ok. I don't know what happened but I deleted my planet and started over. Everything is working fine now. I also didn't save very often so now I ctrl - s often. No problems.
