Canceled TV shows I like to watch TV a lot, and was watching reruns this awesome TV show I found a few days ago and decided to go online to see how many shows were made. It turns out that only 12 were ever aired for vague reasons, which really sucks because it was one of those shows that while wouldn't go on for years and years, it would've lasted for at least a couple of years and was instead cancelled after the 12th episode. This isn't the only show I know that I liked that was cancelled before it really got off of the ground, X-Force and Justice League were cancelled after only the pilot airing. Does anyone else have favorite shows that ended up being cancelled before they could close the plot, or am I just weird like that?
I am SOOOO upset they cancelled Farscape on the Sci-Fi channel, ONE season short of it's planned ending!!! And it was the BEST ratings show they had in their lineup!!! AND it had the season cliffhanger with the "next on Farscape" footage and everything, and we didn't get told the last season would NOT show till it was almost time for the season to start!! grrr....
I thought the new Justice League was still showing... I know it had more episodes show here than just the pilot at least!
Farscape is now having what they call 'the battle of the babes'. One of those rather tasteless affairs in which women fight each other. I shall, needless to say, not be watching. It would be nice to cut out all the swearing that goes on in tv shows. When I was in the R.A.F. it was common but not in Civvy Street!!
That Justice League is running, I'm speaking of a live-action version that they tried a few years ago, only the pilot aired. (Sorry for the confusion.)
Did anyone see "The Tick" while it was still on? Or "Family Guy"? Those were some really funny shows, but I guess they just couldn't muster up enough of an audience to stay on longer. :(
I bet some of these have been shown here but under totally different names, which means I have no clue what you're talking about. *sighes* Here's an example: "Married with children" is called (if translated back to eng.) "Our worst years". See what I mean??? *sighes*
The Tick is about a guy running around in a blue rubber suit, and hes about as smart as a warm bowl of pudding, its quite funny... And Family Guy is slightly harder to explain, except they have a baby (Dewie?) who can talk, is really smart, and is bent on world conquest (but doesn't completely understand how big the world is). Everyone else is more difficult to explain, sorry.
Thanks Droz. Those doesn't sound familiar to me adn what Cardcaptors is - I can only guess. :classic: Nowadays I hardly look at TV at all. It isn't that much that interests me there.... :bunny:
CardCaptors isn't as good as the show it was ripped off of: Card Captor Sakura. Basically they took the show and randomly edited out episodes and merged them together. They took out the first half-a-dozen (or so) episodes and made flash-backs out of them.
I was disappointed when I heard Father Ted was cancelled, but they really couldn't go on without the star. :(
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sniffle sniffle* I'm going to sing the doom song now.....doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doooooooom....... *sniffle sniffle* :(
The Goon Show (a radio programme); Ripping Yarns, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. And loads more! My wife says that I have eyes the same shape as the tv screen.
