    Can't Hire a Sim

    Hi,

Does anyone know the criteria for a sim being able to be hired to work at a business? It seems totally random to me. I can click on one sim and see the "hire" option and on another and it's not there.

Friendship points don't seem to matter. I've gotten the option on sims I'm not friends with at all. NPC or PC, it doesn't seem to matter either.

I have a specific sim I want to hire to work for a specific business but when I invite her over that's not an option. She's a friend and a player sim but not a family member.

Does anyone know how I can hire her?

    Thanks!

Could it have to do with their skill level?

Could it have to do with the mood of the invited Sim?

Apparently if the sim you want to hire is higher than level 4 in their occupation you can't hire them away. But that could just be because of the mods I have in my game.

Anyway, I had her quit her job and then it was easy to hire her as an employee. Now, however, when I play her lot she always comes home completely knackered, poor thing. It's pretty normal to find her passed out by the mailbox.

    But business is booming. :p

What kind of business knocks out your employees? When Erol hired Joe to work in his home robot business, Joe was OK when I went across the street to visit him in his house. He even had Ania visit from college, which I don't think Daddy Errol ever knew about. :p

Eventually, because the story was getting complicated, Joe moved in with Errol's family anyway.

I'm not sure. She works for her stepson, who owns a grocery store. She makes toys to sell in the store, because she has a gold toymaking badge. He gives her lots of breaks and only makes her work a short time, on that end.

But when I play her home lot she's almost always exhausted after work.

Guess toymaking is harder than it looks. :D
