Compatible DirectX graphic adapter Hello, on the first place I'm sorry for my crappy topicname and for my bad english. I'm not realy great in it. Well I have a question so I hope someone knows a solution which can solve the issue. Since 1 year ago I had The Sims 2. Everything always worked and I was realy happy. Today I received Bon Voyage from a friend, so I was a lucky man. Installing went fine and the game can even start up and show the intro movie. As soon as the game menu opens I get a message that the game did stuck. After I press oke and sometimes even earlier when I try to start the game I get this message : "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate. Well I googled and found a topic on this forum and many possible solutions but none of them worked for me. This are my system thingies when I typ dxdiag : Amd Athlon ( tm ) 64 processor 3400+ ,MMX, 3DNow . 2,1 GHz 1024 MB RAM Direct X 9.0c ATI Radeon X550/X600 Its weird that it always worked but not now..
Guess so, went to the ATI site and downloaded some software driver stuff , not realy great in that kind of stuff. Other Direct X games such World of Warcraft are doing it allright..
