Disappearing Houses I just got The Sims 2 DVD edition. I went to create my own neighborhood and now I am totally confused. I chose to build one of the houses already compiled for you. It had the title of Tiny Tudor, I think. Anyway, I wanted to bulldoze it after I looked at it. I bulldozed it. When I went back to the houses menu, that type of house was gone! I tested it and every time I build one of the maxis houses and then bulldoze it, it's gone forever. I even started a new neighborhood and saw that those types of houses were not available on a new game. What did I do wrong???
I think that it's in one of the later Expansion Packs where if you place a house from the lots bin, it still keeps the house in the lots bin for future use. With The Sims 2 base game, you could move the house back to the lots bin if you didn't want to delete it forever. As for your current game, simply move The Sims 2 folder out of the EA folder in My Documents, and load Sims 2 - it will create a brand new folder for you so you can start the game afresh which includes the houses you've now lost.
