Don't Tick Off Elderly Drivers.. I can't remember if I posted this...but yea.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8735889757702013026
Oh, now, now, there, Mimi. Don't generalize. Besides that, the aggressive, speeding, tailgating types tend to be young, and convinced they're immortal. I guess I deal with the Baltimore/Washington traffic too frequently, and have seen some pretty reckless behavior. I'm never surprised at rush hour accidents. They're inevitable. And it's not old people who cause them.
As a young person I'd like to defend me. Just me though, no other young person cuz most of them are insane drivers. We, on probationary licences have a bad rep in Oz and it really bugs me. Yes we get into more accidents (mostly to other peoples stupidity), but it is more publicised when there is a big red P in the windscreen of a car, therefore we all must be like that. I'm a good driver, the dents in my car a due to people not knowing how to reverse properly .
I believe you, Alliekat. Most people, new drivers and old drivers, are pretty careful. From my perspective (ahem, middle age) anyone under 50 is young. The aggressive drivers at rush hour that I'm thinking of, and bad mouthing, are those folks who've had licenses for quite a few years and still don't understand the laws of physics that govern the ton or two of metal they're driving.
