EA speaks on the high amount of pirated Spore copies Is a band of monkeys running EA?* Hmmm, no can’t be.* Monkeys are much smarter than them.* EA is once again spouting off more crap trying to cover up the fact that Spore is being pirated at a high rate.* In an article from Gamasutra, EA’s Mariam Sughayer tries to downplay the piracy issue stating the following: “We’ve talked to people that made several unsuccessful attempts to download the game and ended up with incomplete, slow, buggy or unusable code. In one case, a file identified as Spore contained a virus.” “To say that every download represents a successful copy of the game –- or that there’s been more than 500K copies downloaded — that’s just not true.” …I’m at a loss of words here.* Who did she interview, a group of preschoolers?* Anybody with a grain of sense who knows how to work with a torrent applications knows how to check out the comments section before they download!* Heck, I’m about as dumb as a rock, but even I know that you should read the other people’s experiences.* In fact, everyone who has updated there Sims 2 game with a patch should know this rule by heart!
Sigh. Poor Naive EA Executives ...o wait, I was only be sarcastic. Stupid, imbecile, naive, ea executives...
Now we all know that nobody here would download a pirated version of a game or game related content!
