Hey, I am having trouble with my elevator functioning. When I place it on my lot, all I can do is woohoo in it, how do I actually make it go to the second or third floor????

 

That confused me, too, at first.

You need to put the actual elevator, NOT the shaft, on every floor, directly above the elevator on the floor below. Then it works fine.

I have no idea what the shaft is for. I'm not even sure I'm doing it right. I only know it works.

the shaft is so you can have an "elevator car" bypass a floor. you put it over the car on any floor you don't want it to access.

 

Where do you get elevators? Are they in an expansion pack?

 

Elevators come with the Open for Business expansion pack.

 

place the shaft instead of a car if you want to skip a floor. so you would have car on 1 under shaft on 2 under car on 3. kind of like an express elevator to the penthouse.
