Evolution Now we all know that Spore is an evolution game right? But here's is another question. Does the evolution phase stop once you hit tribal game? Because if real life, Evolution stops for no one. So could I go and edit any part of my creature during Tribal, City, and Civ Game?
Current evidence points to yes. However, at some point in the space age you gain unlimited access to the creature editor, and the flora editor. It's a good point you make, and one that makes me die a little bit on the inside too.
Evolution doesn't stop at any point in the game, its up to the player when to evolve their character or not. Though, it seems like it would make time-sense that evolution stop during the civ/space ages, because you could theorize that during tribal and biotic stages that millions of years are passing, while in the civ/space time 'slows down' and shows the whole process of a developing civilization.
But doesn't Evolution still continue? I mean we humens are losing our wisdom teeth through the generations. Are you sure that in the civ, city, and space game. Players get unlimited excess to the creature editor. And that is another question I have also. Can you exit out of your UFO and go back to your homeworld and play the Civ game or whatever? Because I do not just want to play the Space Game the entire time. I would like to just play on my homeworld every now and then.
Technically, yes; Evolution would still continue. But, in terms of the game, there is little point. Until you hit tribal stage it is your creature (or a herd) against other species. But, once you hit tribal stage you start to focus on advancement of the culture and technology. Thus, you no longer evolve the singular, but the whole. When you reach space age you can then unlock the editor again. So, in city and civ (and the levels below them) no, unlimited access to the creature editor is not available. As for your other question - I do not know.
Now that is just stupid. Since this is an Evolution base game. you should be abled to enter the editor whenever you want. I will not want to see my creature one way in one game and then the same the rest. Maxis needs to do something, you should be abled to enter the editor whenever you want, once you hit tribel. :angry:
enter cheats? - and I speak without full knowledge, however I do believe the lack of evolution through tribal to civ is supported by some quotes, I'm just to lazy to find them...
