Family trees

Just wondering, is it possible to view the family tree of someone in your friends list without going to their lot?

I ask because I keep trying to pair up my sims by inviting sims of the opposite sex around but after much relationship building they turn out to be going out with someone else (yes I'm dopey and can't keep track of which of my sims are single and which are in relationships...). It'd be much easier if I could see who they lived with/were married to in the menu cos that might jog my memory some.

    Cheers all

Surely it'd be even easier to allow your Sims to indulge in the joyous omnigamous bisexual free-for-all and expand your genepool to the whole neighbourhood instead of stratifying it in a series of monogamous heterosexual marriages which produce square little family units, the products of which grow up to repeat the lives of their parents ad nauseum?

In response to your question: I don't think so, no.

Well, if you keep at it long enough, everyone will be distantly related to everyone else by SOME means, either through marriage, or by blood. Then you can track to anyone else simply by tracing family tree lines. It only takes a few generations for this to happen.
