Forgive me - please! Forgive me, my fellow sim fanatics. I have sinned. I have not visited sim-world for nearly two weeks. I am sorry. I will take a long holiday there now. So I was wondering - whats the longest you have gone without TS2?
I'll be starting my third TS2 free week tomorrow morning at 11:30am Cos that was the time I stopped my last session and started packing the puter away in a big box ready for moving. I have promised myself not to unpack the thing until I have finished decorating the living room ... the lawn also needs cutting Anyone got a goat?
Mirelly, I don't have a goat, but I have a 14 year old boy with a riding lawnmower I'll let you borrow: just pay his way across the pond. Babe: It was 9 days. I was on here posting, whining, and twitching. I was begging people for stories and screenshots. I was a mess!! I hope to never have to be without my Simmies for that long again!!
The Sims 2? I could go without, but if I lost internet for a week, I'd probably be on the floor in the fetal position shivering, holding a sack of flour...
Yeah hooking this laptop up to the net was my first task after waving off the house-moving guys. My first major home improvement was the purchase of of 256MB on a SoDimm (the max this beast can stomach ) ... at least now it isn't chugging away at the virtual memory just to pop second Firefox tab Now. Kristal ... duh. I just did a quick search for air-fares and I can't afford your kind offer ... unless your 14 year old can bring the mower as a carry-on baggae item ... although I suspect that being a mower it might have a sharp blade or two about its nether regions and those are sorta frowned on by airport security these days .... So thanks anyway but I'll hold out for a goat .... when it's nice and plump I'll slit its throat and organise a West Indian Celebration with curried goat, fried chicken and domplin and a'course rice an' pees (where the 'peas' are in fact red kidney beans!) and you'll all be invited so long as ya bring plenty a' rom or plenty a' Bob Marley
Oh... a month or so back in March going into April... I had failed a project, parents thought I'd get a B, that's it for the 'puter! It's OK though. They only want what's best for me, and I was more than happy to comply. It was reasonable
Last time I played was a while back, and that was only to build a house that I was experimenting with building in real life, that reminds me, I have a new floor plan that I want try out....
I went from January to October without Simming (from getting sick of Sims 1 and Makin' Magic to getting Sims 2). I found that there was life beyond Sims then...but now I can't imagine a moment without Sims.
I went from June to now without playing. After a long time of the new TS2, you want to have a break and go back to the old times... Ahhh The Sims and your evil dragons. How I despise you.
hehe. my mom is the same way. i got her to play it a bit the other day and she quit about 10 minutes into it. so far its just me and my cousin (about 12 years older than me) who are sims finatics in the family. yeah. used to be that way exactly. it used to be that if something happened to the computer like it would crash or something i would go into a major withdrawal and lock myself away in my room . now it seems that behaviour has subsided quite a bit. probably helps we have more than one computer though. so if one craps out im still good to go. internet is another story though. i will still have withdrawals if we get disconnected, but nothing major. tv tends to help a bit in that area and the last time i went without ts2 was back around december or so. i left for quite a bit and didnt play ts2 for some time. i didnt get back till sometime in late may or june.
OMIGAWD!!! I went without the internet during the spring when we went to the beach, and it almost killed me! LOL Michelle: My hubby doesn't understand it, either. This morning I blathered on and on about the nice little romance I had going on yesterday, and he wouldn't even look at me, just kept playing on the computer and going, "Yeah, that's nice." I got his attention by telling him that I locked the computer up. LOL Mirelly: Well, that's okay, dear. If I had a goat, I'd send it. Al's almost a goat. LOL Just a little pickier of an eater.
