Golden Anniversary My sim's lifetime want is to reach golden anniversary. they were married as adults and their relationship is at 100%. As elders they threw a party that reached "roof raiser," and still no platinum. What went wrong? Please help!
an anniversary party. I had the husband throw it first cause he has better friends. It didn't work so I thought it was because SHE had the lifetime want, so she threw one the next day and it still didn't work.
Yeah, you only get one. I think it should count for both wants, but I'm not sure it does. I think it's just the one throwing the party, unfortunately.
That's very strange. My only suggestions are: 1. Do you have the patch for the game? 2. Do you have any custom content downloaded into the game. If you, you might want to try removing your download folder (onto the desktop) and play the game and see if they can get their lifetime want without your downloads in game. Then you'll see if it's something conflicting and can then spend a fun evening going through your downloads trying to find the culprit! If you don't have the patch, try that first.
I don't have a patch for the game, but I don't have any custom downloads either. Should I get a patch? How?
Get the patch, it will probably solve the issue. Click here and then go to whatever the latest expansion pack you have (ie if you only have the Sims 2 and University, download the University patch) They are in order by release if you're not sure which was the most recent. edit: I'm also moving this to the "How Do I" question forum as it's better placed here.
Thanks for the tips. I have glamour life stuff. When I clicked on the link that EP was not an option. Any ideas? Also, can I ask you... How exactly is the best way to utilize the expansion packs? Am I to download each one in order of release? Can I play them all together or do I have to pick a different one each time I want to play? edited by jupitershana: merged the two posts
Glamour Life Stuff isn't an expansion pack, it's just a pack that gives you new items and/or clothes, no new options in the game. As for expansion packs, it would be best to install them in the order they were released. When you install one you click on that expansion pack's icon on the screen to play it.
