graduated sims i had six sims graduate college at the same time (they got a house together) and now they've all gotten married and moved into their own homes and i can't remember what their majors in college were, is there anyway to find out? i wanted them all to have careers for what they went to school for.
I haven't graduated anyone in ages and ages, but don't they get a diploma? Doesn't the diploma give you any useful information? Might not. I'm just wondering.
no i tried looking at the diploma and i looked in their memories too but didn't see anything anywhere that says what they majored in....
Did you have your sim click on the diploma and have them read it? Several times I've forgotten as well and I know when they read the diploma it tells them what their degree was in.
Cool. I had no idea the diplomas were useful like that. Now I'm going to read them all. I want to keep track of college majors from now on but didn't think I could do it for sims that were already out of college. I think I even still have Lola's. I tried looking at my sims' memories and I guess I was wrong ... I didn't find the "declared major" memory. But my game's going a bit wonky anyway ...
The diplomas are quite information; though, on more than one occasion--not everytime--I've had two different sims in the same household have their diplomas on the wall, when I click on each one of them to read them, they both end up belonging to the same sim. It's weird. Again, it wasn't everytime and it hasn't happened in quite a while.
That was a bug with nightlife. If you took the diploma out of John Doe's inventory and put it on the wall then immediately switched to Jane Doe and did the same with hers (without going to live mode in between) it would associate both diplomas with John. It was fixed by one of the patches which is why it doesn't happen anymore...I still don't take chances though and I always enter live mode in between placing diplomas just cause I'm obsessive like that!
