Gran Turismo Does anyone here play Gran Turismo? It's a very good racing game and it features 290 different cars. It's a bit old but that doesn't really matter because I bought my copy for only $10.00. Can you believe that? $10.00! Anyway, I encourage everybody to purchase this awesome game. If you own a Sony PlayStation, then this game is a must buy for all. Whether you're an 8-year old or a 80-year old, you'll be garuanteed to enjoy every minute of it. I know that I did. If you are interested, you can buy a used copy for about $15.00.
$10? Not too shabby. I don't own the original GT version, but I do own GT3:A-Spec and GT4. Unfortunately they're one of my "hard to play" games as I don't really get to mess with my PS2 very often anymore.. but from what I have been able to play (or watch) they look to be very fun racing games, and I would like to try them out again when I get a chance.
I don't think learning the difference between FWD and RWD and the steering characteristics between the two of them is on too many grandmas' priority lists. Anyways, yeah, I have GT4. And the wheel. My mother plays the game like it's a lawnmower simulator. ...that's about it for interesting factoids I have for this game. :(
My brother's got GT. I've played it a couple of times, the graphics are really good and it's quite fun. BUT it does get a bit boring after a while. Not a game that I would recomend buying. my bro got a really expensive one and personally I don't think it was worth the money, but he seems happy with it. Maybe it's a guy thing..
This is simply the best racing game there is since its very first version. For people who loves races, this is the best one. I prefer formula one racing, but GT, as a simulator, beats any other racing simulator. And I talk from experience, since I'm a real racing driver myself. Most racing games today are arcade, not simulators, such as the "need for speed" series. But GT is not only a real driving simulator, but it also gives a more serious and responsible approach to the racing world, as it puts the player to compete in real racing circuits (others created by the developer's imagination, but they are still racing circuits, not street driving), competing for real racing glory, trophies and titles (ok, even so there are no world championship titles in the game, but it's all in the racing lover's head), instead of racing clandestine and illegal races on the street, which may give a dubious glory, and teach the wrong lesson for younger players who will someday be traffic drivers, if they aren't already. And muffin, I'm not a guy. So it's not a guy thing Gran Turismo 4 is simply amazing, you can even race a "Le Mans 24 hours" with it, and I can't wait for the first HD version of the saga, Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3. GT4 has, I think, 700 different cars to race with, all with their unique engine sounds, which is amazing to have such attention to detail by the developers, and also unique car behaviours on the track, the simulation part. If you are sensitive enough for racing as I'm, both for real and virtual racing, you'll know what I mean about the "behaviours". Cheers !!!
