    Graphic corruption

    :( gah.

well during gameplay, the sims 2 seasons freezes (mouse not responding to movement, sims & object movement freezes also)... and i have to push the start button so i can shut down the game...

and the message 'the graphic adapter stystem has corrupted....will now terminate' massage appears...

...happened many times before, and happens frequently, but not always.
this happens in both build mode AND live mode.

    my system is:

    -Gateway GT5020j

    -502 MB RAM

    -Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

-Graphic adapter: Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family

    PLEASE help.

Hi. You might have to reinstall the graphics drivers. Also check for viruses and do a spyware scan. Also check for any updates for your Graphics card.
    And also.
Go into your Sims game preferences Graphics and lower the values and see if that makes a change.

You computer is way too underpowered to play Seasons.

The Intel Graphics chipset 82945 was OK for the original game but the Seasons requires:
You can pile in a lot more RAM, but nothing will disguise the fact that the built in graphics handling device is not physically capaple of handling the amount of work that needs to be done.

The better option is to seek the means to upgrade your computer with a new motherboard, cpu, gpu, fast ram and recycle the bits that still have mileage in them (floppy disc, cd drive, hard disc, tower-case).

Er, sorry. Yeah. I personally would seek a hardware upgrade instead. After all your screena dn keyboard and speakers are still owrking, as is the mouse and all the other guff. What you need a decent graphics card and I doubt your current motherboard will take a decent enough card to be worth the effort.

Time to learn basic computer mechanics.

If you never look, you will never find out how easy it is. Start looking and learning will follow.
