    H-Sphere Patch 4 Scheduled

<div style="color: #000080; padding: 2px;">H-Sphere Patch 4 Scheduled</div><div style="font-size: .9em; margin-bottom: 12px; border-bottom: 1px solid #000080; padding: 2px; border-top: 1px solid #000080;">Friday, September 12, 2003 by Kevin Stange</div><div style="font-size: 1em;">I'm going to install the H-Sphere 2.3.1 Patch 4 update Tuesday at 2 AM Eastern Time. This patch adds the option to disable the "username prefix" feature for databases that is resulting in absurdly long (and often stupid) MySQL user and database names.

After the update is installed, I will invoke the option to remove the prefixes, which should make everyone a bit happier.

This update should not take more than 30 minutes.

Edit: The update will also apply some fixes to the webalizer configuration which should (supposedly) filter out your own site from the "top referrers" list.

For a full list of changes, take a look at the Release Notes.</div>
