Has anyone got the Family Stuff Fun pack?

I thought it was supposed to come out on the 11th but no one has even mentioned it yet. I'm kinda surprised. I thought there would be at least a couple of people getting it. I thought I would let some of you be my guinie pigs then if you actually liked it, thought it was worth the money and it didn't fry your game then I may get it.:p

The actual release date is the 13th. I just picked up my copy this afternoon when it finally came in. I haven't had a chance to install it yet.

However, the Maxoids let us know that there was a pretty big bug that slipped past the testers so that they didn't even find out about it until now. They seem horrified that this got past them and are going to be putting out a patch *very* soon.

The problem is that if you use one of the FF clothes on a Sim made in CreateASim (CAS), that the outfit will not be available for any other use. (The CAS Sim will be the only one wearing the outfit.)

Until the patch comes out, if you want your Sims to wear the outfit as well as have it usable for other Sims, use something else when you create them, then go to a community lot and buy the outfit. Then it will still be usable. (Talk about a weird bug!)

[Added by Mirelly] - hope Kat doesn't mind  - but I hot-linked this post in my signature

There is now an official patch

    Hey Kat

Could you get me the family fun pack version number? :)

    Maybe. Maybe not.

I suspect that once I get off the internet and go to installing the game itself, I'll be a bit busy for a while. (I'm currently saving my current TS2 folder. It's amazing how long it takes to copy something that's more than 6gb, even if it's just going onto the desktop.)

It's not anywhere on the packaging so I'll have to put the disc itself in to look for the version number.

I was positive you could simply view the disc and look for a version number through browsing for Sims2.exe or whatever the file is in the booster pack.

I knew that as soon as I put the disc in that the auto-install would occur. (Which is what happened.)

But I installed it and used the boolprop cheat to get the version number: v1.4.0.74

Now I'm going to go play!

You can stop that by holding shift while you insert the disc and for 5-10 seconds after (while the drive reads the disc).

I haven't gotten it yet. I was waiting to see if I could buy it and download it from the EA site the same way I did the Holdiay Pack. Plus, I was waiting to see if it had any bugs or issues. Guess I should pat myself on the back for waiting. LOL Thanks for the info, Kat!
