help! bad kid and mom! I've never had any problems before but first my happy all green kid would not got to school. The icon disappeared before it even got to the corner. It disappeared on its way! Then the next day, he wouldn't go again and then the mom wouldn't go to work even though she was perfectly happy and everything. I just moved them to a new lot, could this be the problem?? Help, I really like this fam!!
Sounds like the lot has become corrupted somehow. The easiest and safest way to fix this is to move the family out and into a new house. (Use the money cheat if necessary to restore their living standards) Remeber to bulldoze the old house once they're out of it!
Something might block their way to the car and the school bus in front of the house, or the car and school bus may be gone before the sims reach them. Best regards, Boerge
I had the same problem and, yes, the lot became courupted. Poor Mom was stuck at work and couldn't get home!! I had to move them and buldoze the lot. But don't worry, everything was fine at the new house, and I was able to rebuild on the bad lot later and another sim family had no problems going to work.
Before I would give up the lot, try the folloing: open the cheat console (CTRL-SHIFT-C) and enter boolprop testingCheatsEnabled true now shift-click on the sim in question, go to MORE, go to FORCE ERROR and click on DELETE now save the game (either by quit and answer YES at the SAVE question) or go back to the neighbourhood and say YES to SAVE Now when you reload that lot, the deleted SIM stands at the mailbox and will go to school/to work again next time his raid arrives. That happens to me in average once a week but I wasn't able so far, to identify the hack or object responsible for this behaviour but it's certainly faster than moving and have to start all over on a different lot (especially if that's really hack/object-related, it will re-occur anyways sooner or later) -le
