Help!! Sims 2 Does not Work and Can't get Answers I have installed my sims 2 and everything seemed to go smoothly and when i go to launch the game it freezes at the logo screen, and then will go to We're sorry the sims 2 has encountered a problem and must shut down box. I have tried just about everything that I can think of and I have spoke to several people and I'm not getting any answers. I went into my event viewer and this is what i get: Source: Application Error Type: Error Description: Faulting application sims2.exe, version 1.0.01048, faulting module~df394b.tmp, bersion 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0008e86b. I also get a second event and in the Description: Fault bucket 244425513. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated I have post a thread before and can't seem to get an answer at to what may be the problem. Thanks so Much Stacey
Yes, this is the original game The sims 2 Holiday edition. I actually purchased it about a three weeks ago. I had the same problem as I'm having now and thought that the game did not work and exchanged it for a new one, but no change. I did uninstall and reinstall the game when I got the second one.
