Help!! Someone Keeps Stealing My Clothes!!

Everytime I boot up my game, my dressers are empty. I go buy new clothes and play the game, and the clothes are there. I exit the game and go to bed. The next day I boot up the game, and the dressers are empty again. What's going on?? Is the maid stealing the clothes while I have the game shut off? I always knew that they kept living their little Simmy-lives when I wasn't looking, sort of like the toys on "Toy Story". :p

Okay, I'm sorry, I got off the track. Anyway, the game is not remembering the clothes that I buy for a family. I can buy new outifts, take them home, and the clothes are there. I can plan outfits and the game will remember the outfits and save that information. It just looses the files that are still in the dressers, so that I can't go back and plan an outfit the next time I play that house. It's happening in all the houses.

I still haven't figured out exactly what caused it. :( It seems to be a house-to-house problem. Some houses have kept every stitch of clothing ever bought, and others keep having the underwear gnomes and their buddies ransack the dressers. :p I deleted a few of my mods. Acutally, quite a bit of my mods, because I was running JMP's "Directors Cut" plus several more.

LOL this is funny cos I recently installed the FFS directors cut and have since been slowly weeding out the dross. (Sorry JM ... but I speak as I find) There are no serious problems and gameplay is much better than without but some things I like to be quirky. First to go was the noeatcrap mod. I mean how can I believe I am looking at students if they can't get fat bellies and food poisoning

I dunno about the wardrobe things. I tend to have large catalogs of clothing in the downloads folder but individual families mostly make do with quite limited wardrobes. I prefer to change appearance at age transitions rather than alter wardrbe drastically. People's personal style (hair, make up/facial hair, eyeglasses & co.) tend to change over the decades far more radically that does a person's clothing style.
