Help With Simstuff! I tried to go to simstuff and a window popped that said: Please Type Your User Name and Password. So i did and the window opened up again. And again. And again. And when i clicked cancel: Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required. Apache/2.0.48 (Fedora) Server at www.simstuff.com Port 80Can Anyone help me???
It's a pay site. IIRC it's a SimsHost site, which means you have to sign up and pay for whatever amount of time you want to have access. Most sites are going this route now for better site maintenance, content and bandwidth, etc.
no. they are not a paysite. and the reason why that pops up is because they are making updates to the site and have it locked away to administrators only. so only the administrators with the correct login info will be able to access the site. once they are finished updating, that window wont pop up anymore.
SimStuff's model is to never be a paysite. We will never charge people. We're currently undergoing lots of platform revisions so it frequently goes down. Rather than risking a database corruption or annoying users, we just locked it up.
