    hi

I know this is a random thread but i really hope they bring out a child orientated expanison pack...or even a stuff pack.I hate putting my new borns on the floor whilst i go and congratulate someone.
I think new toys should come out to.
Rocking horses, garages, dolls with their own little prams would be nice.
and lots more should be created for the little'uns.
prams, bouncers, carrycots and those things that hang from the ceiling could be useful.

    what do you guys think?

    thanks

I wish you could actually dress your newborn in clothes. I know there's a hack for one to be born with an outfit on, but I don't have the necessary expansion pack and I don't think that you should have to have that expansion pack for your baby to be dressed.

I think a play pen would be nice too.

If you have OFB you can make them a spinny toy that's a bit like a rocking horse, plus a jack in the box that they hug when it comes out, and of course a kite for the older kids.

I've often said I wanted more realistic interactions between babies and their caregivers, like sit with baby on knee or hold baby and talk on phone or read a book.

What do you mean by garage? A toy one? Just wasn't sure and was curious ...

    hi

yeah i meant a toy one. i know that you can download a play pen but what happens if you have multiple births...1 baby goes in the playpen but the others just lay on the floor...

I guess maxis just didnt put that much time and energy into baby supplies because they are only infants and toddlers for like 7 days total. I think some extra stuff for the lil ones would be cute also. My sim just had twins and it is so unfortunate that the toddlers cannot interact with each other.

i agree i would love for my little sims to have rocking horses and maybe a sims form of barbies and action man and the playpen thing the adult sims could have play dates with there friends and there kids. by the way can the children have so many cooking points that they stop burning the cakes in the mini oven or do they always burn it

    hi

Yeah i also find it sad that my twins (int he game) can not react and show how they feel towards each other. Even if they make another stuff pack which is just for children will be good enough if they cant make a proper expansion pack.I find the idea of playmates very cool.
maybe they could make an expansion pack so the toddlers and babies can go to playgroup and play with other children...sort of like OFB,NL and UNI where you can open a sort of new neighbourhood,it could open a semi neighbourhood where there are parks and all sort of things to do like finger painting, parent and toddler group etc....or is that going too far? Even something for the children would be nice except for swins, oven, lemonade stand etc

    hi

i dont like putting them on the floor because they are just in the way

its also a shame that children can only do certain things,i know children who are always trying to pick up their baby bro/sis but the sims can....

I do hope that something comes out for the children

any other ideas for what children can have or do in the sims 2?

Well, personally I think that the kiddies should be able to at least make their own breakfast!! I find it extremely annoying when your sim has to get out of bed to make breakfast for the kids. I mean, come on! How hard is it to make cereal for yourself in the mornings?

(And I know that you can make them have snacks but that's unhealthy and I don't want my sim kids getting fat just because the mum or dad couldn't be arsed to make cereal for breakfast.)

    hi

I totally agree with you...its not too difficult to make cereal in the morning...the sims children are very lucky that they have that morning service as the majority of my friends (real lol) dont have that in the morning.thankfully i do but i wish that my sims could have a lie in and that the children could sort themselves out.its like they can have a bath alone without supervison but cant make cereal...you have more chance of having an accident in the tub then pouring milk into a bowl.

I've been wanting more interactions like this since the game first came out, and keep hoping that each EP will do it.

More than once I've wanted to take a formal photograph of someone with the baby on her lap sitting on the couch. Couldn't do it. Couldn't even do it with her standing up. She kept wanting to put the baby on the floor when I was ready to take the picture. :( I have only one family group photograph with Mom holding the baby, and she looks mad, because I kept making her pick up the baby when she didn't want to.

But it's a great picture, and she doesn't look that mad ... just looks like she's been standing there for a while waiting to have her picture taken. :)

So it might have been me that was really mad. It was a very frustrating photo session with that family.
