hi i was reading that there are ghosts and they mess around with your house what exactly do they do? i havent had a ghost before so i would like to know thanks
Ghosts can be fun but they can also be annoying. Depending on how fulfilled they felt when they died they can be angry or fairly benevolent. I've written about them in my story East Simders, and I think there are threads about them on this site. But basically they tend to show up after three days, though I've had ghosts who didn't show until long after that. If you sell their beds they get upset. They like to use the tub and pop through mirrors and other people to scare people. If you have NL you can move them to the cemetery, which is sometimes a good idea. I had to delete a tombstone for a fairly disruptive ghost. He kept making things float and had it in for my toddler. They can be a little scary sometimes but you get used to them. They only come out at night.
coooool i havent had a ghost yet but i wonder if i would get scared lol well thank you what did it do to your toddler? do the other sims actually get scared of the ghost?
A knowledge sims love to see ghosts. They remember them as a happy memory and have wants to see more. You can take them to a cemetary at night while ghosts are wandering around (Gothier Green Gardens on the Downtown area if you have NL) and they are blissfully happy. Other sims will be frightened and remember the encounter as a bad experience. If their motives are low, they will wet themselves, and might even die!
It didn't actually do things to the toddler, but went around with a big red X through the toddler's face in its thoughts. It made things float and hogged the tub. It scared the toddler's big brother a few times when he tried to take a shower. It was only a matter of time before the toddler saw it. Since one of the toddler's constant fears was "see ghost" I thought ghostie had better go. A ghost on another lot scared Brandi Le Tourneau so much she peed on the sidewalk. It popped through Sheldon the Mailman's chest just when they were about to kiss. I thought I'D pee my pants laughing. So yes, they do scare other sims. In fact, if the sim is in the red or low green they can be scared to death.
I've tried making a graveyard lot back before University, and had just one graveyard keeper living in the corner. But the ghosts got Soo annoying, the keeper would get scared 3 or 4 times nightly and they wouldnt let her sleep at night so i had to keep her awake. All of her motive bars go down when she's scared, even though she has 'see ghost' aspiration, so I had to make sure she ate afterwords or she wouldve starved. I think i had 24 ghosts on that lot , i think the game only allows 3 out and about at one time though. I think i killed them all off by starvation. I tried drowning once, but then the ghosts would leave puddles, and 3 ghosts every night leaving puddles adds up to a lot of water. Almost the whole lot was filled And then it all turns to weeds.
Ghosts can actually be really usefull too! If you have a Sim that died on your lot that had very high Neat and Nice personality points, their ghost will autonomously clean your house
cool i took my knowledge sim to the gravyard but he didnt see any ghosts what times roughly would be best to take him there he is desperate to see one thanks
I made a graveyard as a business with OFB. I just put two ticket-machines at the gates, and then put a couple of things that the sims would think was fun, like swingsets and grills, and a bubble-blower in an outbuilding. The only times the ghosts come out are after dark. They don't come out every night. Some ghots are more active than others, but they usually come out about 2-3 nights per sims-week.
So, they actually do come out at the graveyard? I have yet to see the ghosts of Lola or Tyson, the two sims I moved to the graveyard after they died. I thought maybe the graveyard didn't have ghosts.
