How do you know if you need a PCI or AGP Graphics card? Hey everyone, I was wondering... How do you know if you need a PCI or AGP Graphics card?
Mostly, it's determined by whether you have an AGP slot. If you *HAVE* an AGP slot, get a real AGP card. Just open up your computer case and look at your motherboard: You should find a card slot, perhaps occupied, that looks different from the 3-5 white slots on your board. If you don't see one there, you don't have an AGP slot. Sucks to be you. Next time, don't buy crappy name-brand computers, those are made using inferior parts.
