I just want to move my family from the house that i am in into a bigger house. i have money - i just want to move them!!!
Well, from the neighborhood view, you can move a family into the Sim Bin and then move them to a different house. If you have Nightlife, you can put their belongings into the Inventory so you don't lose them. Otherwise, all belongings will be sold for simoleons when they move to the Sim Bin.
You don't need to have Nightlife for this, this is all with the original game. First go to the neighborhood view. Once there you have several options, such as putting down new lots, creating new families, and decorating the neighborhood. Once you bring up the option where can you place lots, there is a little bulldozer picture, click on that. Then click on the family you want to move. It will ask you to confirm that you want to move that family. Click yes and the family then appears in the "sim bin" which is just another option in the neighborhood view. Click on your family and then click on the house they want to move into, if they have enough money you can do it.
There is also a button on the Sim Bin screen that, if you click on a family with it, will put the family into the bin without bulldozing the house. It's on the left side of the place where they list all of the families...I think.
Doh! *smacks her forhead* your right. It won't even let you bulldoze without moving the family first, right? I think I'm reverting to TS1, which I haven't even played in a year!
