important Xp Information: Read first before posting

Since most people are having problems on xp i have written this.

Ok i've upgraded to xp and all my games runs fine, xp is coded to allow previous games running on previous operating systems to work (i even got games like xcom and rollercoaster tycoon playing)

When upgrading to xp, please make sure (most important!) To get xp compatible drivers for everything that is detected by xp, then update all the drivers that xp has installed.

To clear things up folow this check list:

    1) Check that your system meets the games requirements
    2) Update video card drivers that supports direct x 8.1
    3) Update sound card drivers that supports multiple channels and direct sound 8.1 (don't worry most drivers do)
    4) Check for any irq conflicts
    5) Download any patches for games, although most games don't need them.

now play teh game and see if not try 6

    6) Right click on the shortcut in your start menu and select properties. Now click the compatability tab, below check the box "run in compatibility mode for" and choose windows 98/me. Click Ok then try the game.

This will fix 99.9% of the problems.

If not come back here and ask me again with more detailed information.

Please Note: Ms-Dos games that haven't been patched won't probrably play on xp due to xp using it's own dos version. (most games don't use dos now anyway, just classics like xcom and transport tycoon etc)
