Is it too late for the US to initiate a public health insurance program? Sure, we take good care of our health, but many people have little to no money to pay for the proper health insurance to make sure they have adequate health coverage when people are sick or suffer from a serious health condition. But, now, the government wants to step in and initiate an alternative to the private health insurers: a comprehensive government-run health insurance program that will compete with the private companies, and its goal is to actually cover every American with health insurance. I think the answer is rather obvious. If the question is whether now is the right time, one must take into account that not only is the government in debt, but also the private corporations we have put our country, our lives in the hands of. If anything, now is the very best time to initiate a government run health care option.
