And I'm stuck at work. So, happy birthday to me!

Looks like everyone but me's on vacation.

Oh my gosh! Happy Birthday, SBW!!! I'm stuck at work, too, and I sure don't feel like taking care of this big pile of papers on my desk. Gots to do it before 3 pm.


Birthdays at Christmas time (my son's is the 19th) are tough.

Yep, that's me. Secretive.

It was hard when I was a kid, not so much now. It's kind of fun having "Christmas Eve Eve" for a birthday.

All I want is a new video card ... this game has turned me into such a geek.

Here I was planning on starting a happy birthday thread for you today, but you beat me to it!

So...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

 

Not yet. Still at work, but heading home now.

My daughter bought me something. She wanted to get me the Buffy box set but they don't sell that at Target LOL ... I plan to get it for myself, if there's Christmas money left after the video card. (Even though I'm 40--yikes!!!!--my mommy still sent me money.)

My kid's so cute. She went shopping for me last night with her dad and she told him, very seriously, "Adults are so hard to shop for."

What a sweetheart. I don't need any presents. I have a beautiful daughter, best present in the world.

But, a video card would still be nice.

And, thanks, everyone. My husband says I kept my birthday too secret from all of my friends, and I thought heck with that. I'm tellin'.

 

The big Four-Oh. Oooh, I remember that one, sort of.

 

40 was harder than 50.... So hang in there...it's gets better. My husbands bd was the 16th and our anniversary was the 21st. we're both off next week so we'll do something special to celebrate. but I'm tired and Christmas eve isn't til tomorrow.

 

OMG you guys my daughter gave me seat covers for my dilapidated old car. They don't match. One has froggies, the other sea turtles. She was so proud of herself. What an absolute cutie pie.

I'm sure my husband steered her in the direction of practical. I've been bugging that man for diamonds for years, and have only received dishwashers and mattresses, mind you, I like the dishwasher, but still ...

I went out tonight. My sister's marrying a professional musician and we went to hear him play. Wow. He's in a New Orleans Jazz band, plays clarinet and is good enough to make a living that way. I always love hearing them play, and they played one of my favorite songs ... St. James Infirmary.

Such a cool, creepy wonderful song, and they rock when they play it. They made me go up on stage cuz it's my birthday. Good thing I'm not shy, though I felt like a dork.

My sister makes jewelry, gave me earrings she made herself. Very pretty.

I'm really mellow, don't wanna go to sleep ... staying up and playing sims for a while.
