Just an intro Hi all. I hope this is where I'm supposed to put this thread cuz I don't want to get into trouble on my first day . I'm a long time guest on this site, so I thought I might actually register and then I could actually talk to all of you wonderful people with the advice that has saved my game many times, and if it wasn't my game, then it was my sanity. Anyway, while looking around I thought I'd do the Intro Ice-breaker that ManagerJosh has suggested. Heregoes. 1. Preferres nickname Allie is fine or the whole thing if you like. Not fussed. 2. Fave book Well see I'm a bit of a Harry Potter-aholic at the moment and for the last 5 years or so 3. Fave movie Mmm tough one. Too many to decide really. Love Actually maybe, though Evolution is a bit of a fave as well. 4. Fave actor/ess Not into individuals, just what they come up with in the end. 5. Fave game Well, that'll have to be TS2 at the moment since it's the only game I'm playing. Just recently got Uni, so enjoying that as well. 6. Fave TV show I miss Buffy 7. Fave colour Purple 8. Fave sport Aussie football, those tight, tight shorts...just heaven. 9. Fave dessert Have a real love of apple crumble lately. Yummy 10. Something interesting about me. Ok, I'm 22, have recently bought a home with the boyfriend and am currently on the lookout for a dog. I think we might have one but not too sure yet. I enjoy reading and chocolate. I also like to pretend that I know what I'm doing in the garden, but I really have no clue. It's not dead yet though so that's a bonus . So that's me. Sorry it was so long. Look forward to seeing all of you in the forums!! Ciao for now. Alliekat
A big old welcome to ya, Allie! Now where are all the other Aussies to say to hi to you???? Apple crumble .... drool ...
Other aussies? How many are there? Anyway, welcome! (Really, I mean I don't usually welcome anyone so count yourself lucky! )
Welcome Allie! Sounds like we might have a lot in common. If you have any questions just ask them, we're all pretty friendly and helpful around here! Welcome to the site, glad to have you!
Hi Allie! *Waves* It's really great to meet new people, and I can already tell you're going to fit in perfectly here. Please stick around!
Thanks all for the welcome. I'm on holidays for the next two weeks, and also have been for the last four so my sims have been getting a workout. I really should try going a whole day without playing them so I don't get withdrawl symptoms when the time comes to go back to work. Nah, bugger it. I like my sims. Like a funny thing happenend yesterday. I had a baby turn into a toddler and a new mum giving birth at the same time. Don't know what happened, but the new mum gave birth to one baby then put that one down and did the whole ooh aah thing again. I got another movie and another baby. Then she put that one down and it started again. I really wish I kept going to get a photo of it but I chickened out and exiting w/o saving. Didn't happen again after that. Sorry, did I go off topic. Naughty me.
Hey. It's your thread. Go as offtopic as you want! (And as Lynet reminded me on another thread - this is Offtopic and Coffeehouse. I think.)
You got triplets?! You shoulda kept them, just to get pictures of them! I know everyone thinks twins, triplets, and even quadruplets, though extremely rare, are a big hassle and no one wants them, but I always get excited when my sim has twins. Then again, I haven't had triplets or quadruplets in the game yet so I guess I have no right to talk.
I'm not sure if it was supposed to be triplets or not. The screen said "There is a new family member on the way," but it did not say there are 3 new family members on the way. Plus it was doing the birth movie each and every time a new baby came so I really think it might have just been a temporary hiccup. I'm really kicking myself that I didn't keep letting her give birth so I could see how many she ended up with, but she was in a very small bedroom and I don't think many babies would've fit on the floor. Oh well, the wonders of hinesight.
Well, the birth movie is supposed to show up every time a sim mother has a baby. But, yeah, I guess what happened to you was a small bug.
Hi Allie, Just wanted to say hi. I'm a huge Buffy geek myself, finally broke down and ordered the complete box set, which should be arriving this week. Yay! Do you have any cheats in place for triplets? Just wondering. I've never heard of that glitch, before, is all. I haven't had a single set of twins since reinstalling my game, but I didn't have that many before, either. My daughter's sim had them first try, though. Both girls. My previous twins were always boy, then girl ...
Hey SBW. I didn't use any cheats or hacks or anything. I honestly believe it had something to do with the other baby turning into a toddler at the same moment the baby was born and the game hiccupped somehow. Silly babies needing someone to "help with birthday" then taking 2 hours to change, just to annoy me!!! Grrrr. I've had plenty of twins though. One of my sims had 2 sets with a single in between them. Boy was that house crowded. I have every Buffy season also. Have watched it a couple of times through as well. Could never get sick and tired of that.
So far I only have the first 2 seasons of Buffy, but I want to get them all eventually. I think my cousin has Seasons 1-5.
Ooh, you're in for a treat if you haven't seen season 3 yet. Though maybe you've seen it on TV? Anyway, it's one of my favorites. Of course, I love the whole series ... but I think seasons 3 through 6 are the best of it.
