It seems that a lot of people are having problems with promotions: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=3286.0 When I hired three employees to help Eddie Dawson get his business going, I got a pop-up that said at least one of my new employees had enough skills to be made a manager. Yet, there are no options for me to promote him in the menu.
Hmm. I read that thread myself, this morning, and sort of lost the will to live. It seems to centre on some problem with the salon chair as well in regard to promoting a manager. I am playing with MATY-approved hacks only and my first major business has hit level 5 (it's hard work ) & has 4 employees (+ various family members according to availability). The main salesman has had the appoint as manager option for some time (he's a gold badge salesman). I haven't actually appointed himas manager but option appears, so I don't know what the problem could be .... :(
I haven't had the manager problem, but I do have the salon chair problem. The only way I can give make overs right now is to do it for free. I discovered this before I put any of my downloads back into the game, so it is for sure a bug.
hmm... my owner was able to do both free and cheap makeovers but the stylist I hired to do them just stood there all day.

Massive Fiery Explosion Possible This relates to the uniform planning options for business owners. One of the available options is to delete uniforms. It appears that deleting a uniform can have two serious side-effects: Many players are reporting that they have lost all ability to plan and assign new uniforms after deleting one they no longer needed. Some players have also connected this problem with entire lots disappearing completely! Both of these problems are extremely serious as there is no known reliable way to rescue the situation. The remedy?
