    Little Kids Have LTWs again

I tend to panic and tear my hair out when stuff like this happens, so this time I thought I'd stay calm and ask for help.

My Problem: Having fixed my game, or so I thought, I went back in to play and lo and behold my little kids have LTWs again.

What I Did New: The only thing I did different was install a few Pescado hacks, which I have been assured won't cause problems, just fix them ... I added the LTW adjuster, the college clock thingy, the phone hack nuclear edition, and one other I can't remember right now. I used the clock timer thingy for four college students, one of whom has graduated. I had no new babies since last time I backed up the game, a day or so ago. I added one young adult character and created a few downtown community lots.

My Downloads: To my knowledge I have no non-Pescado hacks. I have one downloaded house from SimKrams, but I have played with this house in the past with no problems. I have a lot of clothing, hair, makeup, and other things for the body and a few furniture recolors, also a bunch of walls and terrains and floors, but I've had them for months. I haven't downloaded anything new since the end of October. I have the alienware computer and the Halloween decorations from the official site, also the sculpted topiary (llama, dolphin, cone).

Where You Come In: Here are my questions. I will try not to fly off the handle and assume I know how to fix it until I have the facts, so please help! (Pescado, are you listening?) ...

    1. Is this a show stopper? Should I be worried? My inclination is to keep playing and tell them, no you don't want to be a business tycoon, sweetie, you just want to GROW UP. And then proceed to ignore it. But am I inviting a fiery ball from space? I do not, repeat NOT want to have to redo my work AGAIN.

    2. Is there a fix? The Jeffian college adjuster did not seem to specifically mention this, but is it a background thing that also gets fixed? I decided not to use it in favor of the clock timer thingy. (Am I imagining this, or are they not compatible?) If they are not compatible I will trade in clock timer thingy if the Jeffy thingy will fix my LTW thingy. Thingy. (Thought I needed one more "thingy" in there. :p)

    Thank you for your help.

That house you downloaded--Think you can scan it with the Clean Installer and see if there is a hack piggy-backed onto it?

How would I do that? I use the Sims Maid to install stuff ...

Will it get rid of bad hacks for me?

Package the lot and exit the game. Then open the Clean Installer and have it find the "Packaged Lots" file. Its probably MY DOCUMENTS/EA GAMES/THE SIMS 2/PACKAGED LOTS. It will show you all the objects that packaged with that lot, like wallpapers, terrain paint, custom content, and hacks. Then. all you have to do is find any hacks (usually colored pink or red) and then right click and delete or disable it. :)

Little kids who had LTWs will retain them. This is not really a fatal thing as new ones will materialize when they age, in theory.

Thank you, Pescado. That's the answer I wanted. I realized that either my game would implode or I'd find a fix, either way I decided to just keep playing.

But it's nice to know it's just a minor thing.

Thanks to you, too, Kristal. I'll give that a try.

It just seems to be my neighborhood (of course). My daughter's neighborhoods are fine.
