First off I don't make clothes because I don't have the software required so if you want details then you will have to do a search. You need to have more then bodyshop to make clothes. You have to export them into an imaging software like Photoshop. Make your changes and put it back into bodyshop. There is a forum on here that specifically talks about creating clothes, skins, etc. If you haven't found that yet you may want to look for it because they have links to some tutorials.

You're much more likely to get help on this forum if you do your homework first. Read up about it, play around with BodyShop, and then if you still have questions, ask.

Or ask something specific, like "how do I get started."

Ruthie's right, you need a graphics program. Some people use Paint, some, like me, are lucky enough to have PhotoShop, which works better.

Briefly, here's how to get started:

    Open BodyShop.
    Open your paint program.
In BodyShop, choose start new project/make clothing.
Find the item you want to modify and choose Upload.
Name your project. You can't use spaces.
Go to the paint program. Open My Documents/EA GAmes/Sims 2/Projects/Your project name.
Open all three files. The one you want to recolor is in color. You can ignore the mesh file (the black and white one) for now. This is a basic tutorial. For more information, read up.
    Recolor as you like.
    Save.
    Go back to BodyShop.
    Click refresh (the circular arrow).
If you don't like it, go back to paint program and repeat.
If you do like it, click Download to game.

    That's it.

    Done typing now.
