Maxis/EA and copyrights i know this would probably fit better on the off topic forum, but seeing as this is TS2 related and this forum gets the most action, i thought i would post here. also, this might be more directed at MJ and other webmasters anywho, after leaving a note for our publisher for Simmers Quarterly (www.lulu.com) about copyrights and whatnot, i was told that it might be a good idea if i contact Maxis about getting permission to use their own screenshots and the sims name and whatnot. i was just curious if you guys ever dealt with this before and nows how lenient Maxis is about their copyrights?
What you are doing still falls within their fansite policy. Unless you are making money off their Trademark, I wouldn't worry too much.
Don't most of the screenshots have the logo and the home site's trademark on them? If you don't crop those off, I think it's okay.
