    if anyone can find a cheap p4 and pci graphics card, ill be happy. thats pretty much all i need to upgrade in this thing to gain some performance.

    Well I did find a nice laptop for 1299 and it has 512, 40 gb, and has a good video chip

    40GBs I think will go too fast with The Sims 2. I go for 80GBs or more.

    If you can find a laptop or desktop with these things in them:

    LAPTOP: 512 MBs, good video card, 80 GB, and a good battery

    Destop: 512 MBs, good video card, 120 GB, and a good speaker system!
