    My Legacy Challenge

So, I've started a legacy challenge, and I guess it's going to end up being the Legacy of Fortune and Family sims. I started with a Fortune sim, and married him to a Family sim on purpose. They had one kid (ever notice how some sims just have a really hard time getting pregnant?) and I rolled for his aspiration--Fortune. He married their maid, who turned out to be a family sim. They had a set of twins and then a single birth. The kids are: Alex-Family, Sierra-Fortune, Nikki-Family. I'm doomed to have only Fortune and Family platinum graves!!!! Okay, not really, because Sierra (the heiress) is engaged to Weldon Tellerman, the Romance fireman.

I guess once the twins reach their Junior year I can have them re-roll for their aspiration. I just thought it was interesting.

By roll do you mean using a hack, or just a die?

I go by what would make the most sense for that sim. For example, if they have high "nice" but low "outgoing" they might be a pleasure sim or a family sim. Grouchy tends to say "knowledge" or "fortune" to me. Nice and outgoing? Popularity or romance, of course. Though "super nice" kind of leaves out romance, as breaking hearts isn't, by definition, nice ... :p

Shy sims are family or knowledge. Active sims say knowledge or popularity to me, though I have sims of all stripes who are active.

Besides all of the above, I just go with the "vibe" of the thing.

MegRen is talking about rolling a physical die, for the Legacy Challenge. Each number on the die represents a different aspiration. Part of the "challenge" is that you don't get to pick your sims aspiration. You have to take what chance gives you.

Ah. Thanks for the clarification. I've never played a challenge. I started one of my own but never followed through after my Motherboard earthquake.

I'm on to other things now.
