MySQL Server 2 Hardware Maintenance In the previous repair of MySQL server 2 we were required to provision the server without a "backplane" in order to get the system fixed promptly. The lack of a backplane prevents support for hot-swapping failed hard drives. We need to replace a failed hard drive in the server, so we are taking advantage of the opportunity to install a backplane so future drive failures can be resolved without downtime. We will perform this maintenance at 1:30 AM US Central Time on Saturday, December 20th. The expected time required for the maintenance should be no more than one hour. During this time, any MySQL-based software running on shared hosting accounts based on MySQL server 2 (mysql2.simgames.net) will not work.
