Neighborhood size Hi. Great site! I have a coupla questions. First, in that picture of Riverside - is that the entire neighborhood? Or just a part of it? It looks as though it could be scrolled right or down some. Also the general perspective seems to differ greatly from the size of the neighborhood to the size of what one could fit into the SimCity4 city that size. Do lakes become small ponds? Etc. Finally - As far as # of lots go - I see there are not that many lots in this picture and I have thought 50 lots to be the norm. If this is the actual neighborhood size then 50 or more lots would be quite tiny am I right? This is important as I intend to do little genetic studies on the Sims but I'd rather not have them all living in little box homes.
It is part of the neighborhood. As I said before, it uses a bit of the SimCity 4 core, so yes to your second question Lakes and ponds vary in size by when you do your terrain editing. I'm not sure if there is any limitation to lots seeing you are just limited to where you can place lots and that's assuming you don't wanna mess with the town decor. I think if you put a bunch of small lots on the town, you can probably fit more than 50. As stated before, this is only a small section of the neighborhood. Remember you can do slanted walls as well
thank your for your quick reply. If possible can you tell me if this picture would represent say 1/4 of the actual neighborhood size or 1/2 or what? As far as my lake question - I was askin' more if what appeared as a large lake in SimCity4 would appear as a small pond in Sims2 or would the size be comparable? Thanks again.
I will have to play with sim city 4 now and design neighborhoods... it's sad, I got the game months ago and still haven't gotten to play it with everything ELSE going on! ak!
