New MySQL Server It's been busy on my end as we're preparing for the onslaught of fans for Spore. Even my own team for my own site's been spending numerous hours getting ready and thinking of how we're able to facilitate the needs of our sites and yours. Alas, I completely forgot to announce this in my haste to meet deadlines. Last week, we added a new MySQL server to our hosting product to help improve overall MySQL performance. If you are a current hosting member and are experiencing slowness on MySQL, please open a ticket with our support department and they will be able to schedule a time to move your databases over. This database migration would require the database to be taken down for a period of time to assure the data is migrated properly. Note: If you are using the new MySQL server make sure to specify in any scripts you may be using to access mysql2.simgames.net, not localhost or mysql.simgames.net.
