Maxis took a simple idea, that of a dollhouse wherein you control the lives of your dolls to the smallest detail. With this year’s The Sims 3, they’ve nearly perfected the formula. The game is easier to pick up and play, yet has more depth and customization than ever before. With a new “open-world” style that makes the game more seamless, it is easier than ever to get lost in the world of Simlish. The first expansion pack for the game, World Adventures, has showed a completely new side to the series, with exploration and adventuring offering new ways to play. This one-two punch will without a doubt continue the streak for The Sims as one of the top selling PC Franchises of all time.
