The general idea is that it will out this autumn, narra girl. Could be anytime up to Thanksgiving. However I have read various news items that suggest that it is still in alpha testing so there's always the possibility of a postponement until next spring ... :(
There is no Nightlife. Speculation about hypothetical nonexistent products is rather pointless at this stage.
Boy Pescado, you sure do look at the glass as half empty! I probably is going to come out because then Maxis wouldn't have made such a big fuss out of it. Have you seen how much info about it on the official website?! They would get tonnes of hate mail since they speculated so much about it and it doen't come out. No, but seriously, the Sims 2 BBS is plagued with WHATS THE RELEASE DATE? As a gamer from the Jaded Crowd who formerly resided on Doom 3 Case Modding and Halflife 2 forums, I remember when we waited forever for things, and people there couldn't even hold it in for less than a year. The sad thing is, Maxis, like all other EA employees are probably working 80-90 hour work weeks on weekends iwth no time comp or overtime, I wonder if those complaining posts have added another 10 hours on their work week...
No matter. Old people can still go to college just to get their PhD, even though they're coming to the end of their life. Its the school holidays and all I'm doing is playing the Sims 2, replying to threads, stuffing my face and watching the awful daytime TV... Sorry, I just had to express my anger to Maxis and the broadcasting people. The Sims 2 ruined me... I was pretty stuffed up before though.
Pssh, whine, whine, whine. I don't believe for a moment that they're working that hard, because they still find the time to make silly flash games about allegedly working that hard, and still can't be bothered to fix blatantly obvious bugs. What they need is some better inspirational sayings, like "Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves".
Problem is that expansion packs and generaelly games come out too fast, so of course they're riddleed with bugs, its the fact that the big corporations don't feel like funding for pathes which essentially screw us over. But who cares, as long as the CEO's christmas bonus is larger than the developer's annual salary.
