Now We Have The Forum Back - Seasons Patch Anyone?

Yeah. I've waited all day to ask who has tried the Season's patch?

It was published on march 30 but surely it's an April Fool? 45MB download to fix 3 things?

For me the babies cried a bit more than before but not excessively (I use no baby control hacks, I just feed 'em, cuddle and play and bathe 'em well ;) ) so I didn't need that fix.

I have the Rock Hammer (actually Ash Mallory has got it) and the sound worked fine for me, so that's no good.

I rarely upload to the exhange and the idea that custom content might not get thru is one of the least of my worries.

Assuming that World Sims still has any members what are your opinions of this patch?

I never bothered with the pets patch, and after hearing all the trouble that others (mainly SBW) have had if installing that patch after installing Seasons, I just thought I'd have to live with the Pets glitches (like flashing blue downloads now and again.) Come to think of it, I don't think I ever downloaded the OFB patch, either.

A message I got on My Sim Page at Sims2.com said that I should install both the Seasons patch and the Pets patch.

Since I haven't had any serious problems with the game, I'm reluctant to do that.

you're right, Lynet. Especially true in the computerworld: Never try to fix what isn't broken.
So if you're not forced by some weird glitches, leave the patches alone.
And yes, some Maxis ppl stated, that not all Pet-patches made it into the seasons CD (sounds like the company I work for :D

Patches fix glitches in the game. You can find them on the Sims 2 website. I installed it because I was sick of the fussy babies.

Thanks, Mirelly...Mike Myers sure is a character and the more I watch him, the more of AP I find in myself :D

As for my "Shaguar" I had to settle for a Celica (limited funds;) without Union Jack but that's OK since I'm not employed by any of H.M's Services.

@Jazz: Patches are the way, game producers try to mend some of the glitches and quirks that found their way through QA (quality assurance)
Lately it seems like a lot of game distributors closed their QA departement since I observed lately patches being released only days after the official release of a new game. That certainly ,shaggin' sux :D :D
