Objects Not Working? Okay, so here's what's going on. Every time I try to use an object, the command disappears. I can't use the phone, and even when the pie menu comes up, it only says "Call". Press "Call" and up comes the next pie menu. All it shows is "Sim". You click that and the command disappears before it even gets to the top! Another example is when I try to turn off the radio. I click the radio, the pie menu comes up. Seemingly normal. I click "Turn Off" and all SEEMS well. Until you look in the Sim's hand and there is no remote. He goes through the motions to turn off the radio without a remote, and nothing happens. My Sims cannot eat because they cannot pick up food. The command disappears. This is why I cannot play. Or my Sims will die. I have downloaded many hacks and custom content. I think I know which hack killed it, though. The MTS2 hack that lets teenagers adopt. Has anyone else had this experience or at least heard of it? I really need help! I can't play the Sims 2. I am perpetually stuck in CAF mode.
Have you tried getting rid of the hack that you think is causing the errors? For most people, getting rid of the problem download cures the game.
You haven't said which EPs (if any) you have other than FFS. But I agree with Lynet that game mods may be the culprit, especially if they were meant to work with a specific EP which you don't have, or that they don't work with certain EPs. When you have a game problem like this, the first thing to do is to try your game with all your downloads (especially mods/hacks). If you still have problems without anything in your downloads folder, then we need to know that you've already tried that and still have problems.
