Oh my goodness!! Our neighbor was just ROBBED!!! His ex-girlfriend broke the screen out of his window and broke in and had a truck with her and she took most of the furniture, and all his dishes, and towels, and even most of his clothes and his nice SUITS, and she threw stuff around the living room and trashed it out, and threw the plants out of the pots!! She left the cat out of the house in the cold, but she DID put out food for him, poor kitty!! And she stole $800 he had in the apartment too!! And to make it worse, she knew he had an unpaid ticket so he can't call the police to report it till he pays the ticket first, or they will have to arrest HIM for the unpaid ticket BEFORE they can take his robbery report!!! And she just stole all his money!! I feel REALLY bad because I saw her moving stuff out, but I thought it was HER stuff because they just had a big fight and broke up!! She stole his phone so he couldn't call the police anyway... but we told him he could call from our place, which was when he told us he has to go find money somehow to pay the ticket first. He has no bed, not many clothes, no towels, no blankets, no dishes... I'm not even sure she left the food in the fridge and the cupboards are bare!! I'm terribly shocked by the whole thing!!!
Wow, that's sad. I't still shocks me the way some people can be so hateful to other people. I couldn't imagine even thinking of doing something like that, it's just too hurtful of a thing to do. I hope things turn out ok for him.
Really?? He's convinced since there's a warrant out for him for the unpaid ticket that they will have to arrest him first... I hope he gets it paid and reports the robbery!! I haven't seen him at all today.... I had a friend arrested and put in jail for an unpaid ticket before!! He didn't get it paid in time so there was a warrant out for him! :(
He shouldn't be arrested for reporting a crime at all. Unpaid tickets - no matter how high are not a cause for warrants and arrests at all. Not here. For an arrest it takes a crime where at least jail or equivalent amount af fees can be issued in a court of law. (Did I get that right?? )
hmmm well around here an unpaid ticket CAN lead to a warrant out for your arrest, if it goes long enough unpaid! Like over several months... because my friend WAS arrested and put in jail for his!! His wife had to go to her mother in law and get money to bail him out!!! Out neighbor KNOWS there is a warrant out for his arrest.... anyway, we haven't heard from him... I hope he's found some way to pay his ticket!!!
There is really a lot bad people out there... But the good people makes up for all the bad in life makes it worth to life for... like you guys!! ;-)
well, he better hurry up and report the robbery if he's gonna, because there is a stature of limitations on things like that i think...
well getting a ticket paided is nothing....but if there is such a warrant out, there might be another penalty attached to that...
I still haven't heard how he's doing...but there haven't been any police knocking at my door to take a statement from me about it, as I was a witness.... :(
