OH Snap! Cannot put doors & windows in lots!! Yeah. So I have had WAY too many problems with the Sims 2. Anyways, I've already asked some people about this but no one could help me so I though I'd come here. When I try to place a door or window anywhere, it won't let me. Like it will say "must be in center of tile" even when it is. I was thinking it may be because of boolProps on, but even when I disabled it and ALL my cheats, it still presists. So, I cannot make any houses or anything!! And I am a Sims movie-maker so I sorta need it to work. Do you think unistalling or reinstalling would work? I've already place my 4k of CC onto disks in case.... PLEASE HELP! Oh! and I googled this and I found a post way back in '05 and someone had the same problem. People said it was because of an illegial CD or something?!! Well, um I have a normal CD that I bought, so that really didn't help. (btw, I have Uni, NL, BV, OfB, Pets, Teen Stuff, Seasons, and Freetime).
You need to make absolutely sure you don't have any of these cheats turned on . boolprop snapobjectstogrid false moveobjects on boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true also make sure there are no fences in the general area where you placing a door or window. make sure there are no overhead lights in the tile next to the wall if you're placing a door. This happens even if you just went into a blank lot and placed a section of wall and tried to add a door or window? Are you using Numenor's easy walls by chance?
No, I figured out the problem I THINK. But, before I figured it out, I unistalled all my games, put all CC on disks, reinstalled them, and put the CC back on and did that BodyShop trick cus my CC doesn't show up in my game...i can see my objects, but not my hair, clothes, skins, etc. I don't know what is wrong.
