Other than the animals... Does this always happen when an EP comes out? Or am I imagining things? It's been awfully quiet around here since about the time Pets was released, and I have assumed it's because everyone is training dogs and cats. The pets are adorable, of course, but what else came with this EP besides diagonal roofing? I experimented with the roofing. I discovered that the roofSlopeAngle cheat works, but the effect is not good for low angles. At least not with the small house I built. I tried a really low angle (15) and the walls stuck up through the roof and I had to set the angle higher. As for sim interactions, I haven't noticed any new interactions between sims (excluding pets.) There are some new wallpapers and rug colors. A couple of objects and paintings. And the painting function is cool. Ania Waring Harcourt painted a picture of herself in her wedding dress. Nice. Other stuff?
New stairs and railings, the sledgehammer tool, some new modern furniture that I kind of like (though what's with all the rockets? Sheesh. I love the small dressers but I don't think they should be just in kid colors.) A lot of new art, mostly animal related. I love the maltese falcon. A new small cafe and bookstore that you can plop down and remodel, which is nice if you want a quick community lot. Oh, and of course, werewolves. I have no idea how to become one. It's pretty hard to do as far as I can tell. I gave up on making Sam one before he went to college, since he's leaving pretty soon. And skunks. Don't forget skunks. No new sim interactions, though, that I've noticed. A lot of wants for pets, though. That's a bit annoying, really. Also, wants to interact with pets you left at home when you went to college. Kind of hard to do! I do like the dimension the pets add to the game.
I added a no pet obsession mod into my game and that seems to have curbed the numerous pet wants. Werewolves are hard to obtain. I made poor Diego harass a Leader of the Pack to death until it ran off the lot! It did not return until a few nights later, and the relationship score had gone down. Pain in the butt and one of the reasons why I'm not having another person be a werewolf. What annoys me more are the wants to interact with pets that have been sold or given up for adoption. Hello? Silly Sim, you don't own that pet anymore! You own a new one! :ermm:
