Please HELP! - Calling Relatives on the Phone/Cellphone I have all SIMS 2 expansion packs, and for a long time now, my sims cannot call any of their relatives on the phone. This really sucks since their relationship points continue to decrease (unless I have a party or they are the one calling my active sim). This happens to all my families. Also, my sim kids cannot call adults. I don't know if that is the way it is supposed to be, or if I there is some sort of bug on my game. I have not downloaded anything (that I'm aware of) that would modify phones in any way. At first, I tried moving my families to different lots, but same problem remains. I really don't want to uninstall/ reinstall my game since I've already invested many many hrs on my main family (The couple I started with have a lot of grandkids by now) Any suggestions on how to solve this??? THANKS!!!
You talk about moving your familes around. Have you done one of the following: 1) Put the house and family into the lot bin and then moved them to either a different neighborhood or a different subneighborhood? (For instance, from Downtown to Bluewater Villiage?) 2) Downloaded a family and lot from the Exchanged that had been played in someone else's games? If that happens, it can wipe your sim's family relations and memories, and lead to the entire neighborhood crashing out rather quickly. Not being able to call relatives (because they have forgotten they've met) is a symptom of this problem and the neighborhoods imminent doom. :(
Please Help!!! - Calling relatives on the Phone/Cellphone No, I have not done any of that. I moved them around to different lots within the same neighborhood (Pleasantview). My sims still have memories of their relatives, the only problem is that they are not shown in the menu list for calling a sim.
I'm not sure how to help you with the can't call relatives thing, just wanted to let you know it's normal for kids not to be able to call adults on the phone. They can only call other kids, or teenagers.
Please HELP! - Calling Relatives on the Phone/Cellphone Just an update... I can call relatives now!!!! I solved the problem... I had a lot of hacks, I run the Content Manager often, but never thought that all those downloads marked red would be causing THE PROBLEM. I never saw anything that would affect the phone so, I just ignored them. How naive of me... anyway... I re-installed and removed all the hacks... Everything is perfect. I lost my families, but that is ok... I'll start again.
